Phytoseiulus persimilis – Predatory Mite
A Natural Way to Stop Spider Mites—Before They Take Over

If you’ve ever dealt with spider mites, you know how quickly they can take over and damage your plants. SPIDEX VITAL is a gentle but powerful solution—using nature to fight nature.

These microscopic predatory mites seek out and feed on spider mites at all life stages, helping you keep populations in check without resorting to harsh sprays or chemicals. You simply sprinkle the contents of the bottle directly onto your plants or pour them into Diboxes (distribution boxes) for a more controlled release.

SPIDEX VITAL includes multiple life stages of predatory mites plus a food source, helping them stay active and establish quickly. It’s ideal for early intervention, preventative use, or managing light infestations—especially in high humidity conditions.

🔥 Best used as a preventative, light curative, or curative at the first signs of spider mites—before populations explode.

Attacks All Life Stages — And Shows You It’s Working
SPIDEX VITAL contains eggs, nymphs, and adults of Phytoseiulus persimilis, plus a non-pest food source to keep them active. These predatory mites feed on spider mite eggs, nymphs, and adults by piercing them and sucking out the contents.

Once they begin feeding, they change colour from pale to bright red—a visible sign that they’ve found and attacked spider mites in your crop. This colour change lets you know the mites are active and doing their job.

Ideal for long-term control in crops with ongoing pest pressure or high humidity.
Unlike SPIDEX RED, SPIDEX VITAL is designed for sustained establishment—not fast knockdown.

What to Expect Upon Arrival

This product arrives as Phytoseiulus persimilis predatory mites in loose carrier material. They may be pale/white before feeding and can turn reddish after consuming spider mites. They are very small, so inspect closely and release promptly after arrival.

Important Notes

We import most biological controls fresh to help ensure customers receive active, viable beneficial insects, mites, and nematodes. Because these are living products with limited shelf life, we do not keep most biologicals stocked in-house.

Please inspect your package and product immediately upon arrival, before release. If you have any concerns about condition or viability, contact us before releasing at admin@optimizeorganics.ca with your order number and clear photos of the package and product. Once beneficials have been released, it becomes much more difficult for us to assess their condition on arrival.

Biological pest control is rarely a one-and-done release. In most active pest situations, sequential releases are needed to build and maintain beneficial populations while pest eggs continue to hatch and existing pest pressure is reduced.

Avoid spraying pesticides, oils, soaps, or other residues immediately before or after release unless compatibility has been confirmed, as these may harm beneficials.
