Size

Copper Sulphate (CuSO₄·5H₂O) is a fine granular, fertilizer-grade source of copper, guaranteed at 25.2% Cu with 12% sulphur. It corrects copper deficiency in soil and crops where a need has been confirmed by soil or tissue analysis. Copper has a narrow margin between deficiency and excess and can build up in soil over time, so it is applied only against a documented deficiency and at rates matched to that analysis.

The role of copper

Copper is an essential micronutrient and a component of enzymes involved in photosynthesis, respiration, and lignin formation, supporting chlorophyll function, stem and cell-wall strength, and reproductive growth. Deficiency shows first in new growth and is most common on peat, muck, sandy, and high-pH soils.

Application

This product may be used to correct soil and/or foliar deficiencies based on soil or tissue analysis. Interpretation of that analysis and the application rate should be set by a Certified Crop Advisor, professional agronomist, or agricultural representative, and the product is intended for use in blended fertilizer programs. Start only from a confirmed deficiency and follow the rate your analysis and advisor recommend.

Storage, Safety & Handling

Caution: This product contains copper and should be used only as recommended. It may be harmful if misused. Keep away from children and pets. Avoid waterway contamination and do not pour down drains. Copper can accumulate in soil, where excess amounts limit future use and harm soil life, and it is toxic to birds, small mammals, and aquatic organisms.

Warning: Read and understand all safety precautions before handling. Refer to the WHMIS/SDS information. SDS available on request.

Transport classification: Environmentally Hazardous Substance, Solid, N.O.S.
